Why don’t I just use a system the rest of U.S. doesn’t use? Because when I turn on the TV, pick up a paper, or sit down at computer, it will always be different.

What kind of thought process is that. Instead we’ll drive south-east and wind up with the time going backwards, north-west and the time going forward and everyone will wonder what braindead fool couldn’t draw a vertical line. And then remember, it’s because a lot of people thought it was a terrible idea from the start, so many states/countries bent those lines.

That holds true outside of the fact that it changes daily due to our axis orbit and our position on earth. If we actually went by it, our clocks would have to change constantly as well. So if we are going to ignore it by not changing the clocks, why wouldn’t we just ignore it all together. We are okay with saying the sun sets at 4:30… Or 7:30… Or maybe it only sets for 2 hours a night if you are north/south enough… So why bother trying to coorelate that?

Thats how many jobs already are. Jobs ending at 2pm in California because the majority of their market is already gone for the day. There is nothing chaotic about it at all. They are just numbers. We are open from 9-17. Hours posted, that’s when they are open. In New York when someone asks what time they are open the answer is 9-17, in Japan, it’s 9-17. No matter where you are in the world, look at your watch/clock/phone I should be able to say huh, it’s 11, they are open… I’ll give them a call. 0 chaos. No asking what time zone, no asking if it’s 11am or pm, just 9-17. Always the same for anyone who wants to do business with that business.

Sidenote, think about how much cooler new years would be. Everyone on the planet moving to a new year at the same time. Not, well Terry is in Texas so it won’t be for another hour there.

Id prefer this to but many are against it. To me a number is a number, if I say it’s 8 o’clock then it should be 8 o’clock. Not 8am eastern, 7am central, 5am Pacific… (yes we always ignore mountain time).

If I drive 15 mins east the clocks shouldn’t jump. States like Florida have 2 time zones within them.

I don’t buy soda often but fuck I’m tired of their soda sales. Buy 2 get 1 free on 12 packs. (9.99) A piece. Then 1 week out of the month or so they are buy 2 get 3 free. Still 9.99 a 12 pack.
So that’s:

9.99 for 12 cans. (.83 cents per can) 19.98 for 36 cans (.56 cents per can) 19.98 for 60 cans (.33 cents per can)

I really don’t need 60 cans of soda, but I don’t want to pay .83 cents per can. So all it’s done is make me stop buying soda all together for the most part.

It can’t be coke doing it either, because it goes for “all Coke, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper products”

People would have hated it, but if they partnered with Google years ago, they could have gotten street view hooked up to the USPS trucks and got updating street views and maps fairly regularly, while outsourcing some of the costs to them, probably 10 years to late though.
