It says “speaking in Italian” on my pirated copy.
Yeah topside having the seasoning is normal. Plenty of articles and posts about flipping the chip. Shit, it’s even in the official Pringles FAQ
5 years experience required for a programming language that had only even existed for 2 years
If this is the level of bullshit on the job listing, do you actually want that job?
If yes: if they’re bullshitting, why don’t you?
I have a 4 year degree and it has never advantaged me, ever.
You didn’t learn anything at school?
I went to an engineering school, switched majors to biochemistry, and I work an IT job now. My education was invaluable despite being overwhelmingly inapplicable to my current field of work. I learned so much and was exposed to so many people of a similar mindset. Easily one of the most important things I’ve done in life, just from a life experience standpoint.
What advantage do you expect it to give you aside from what you learned and showing you can complete a bachelor’s program?
Because OP hates snow. I like it, 25 hours of snow sounds like proper winter to me.
Here’s a lake effect snowfall map for the US. Indiana does get some, but for reference, I’m talking about the red (96-150 in / 244-381 cm) and deep red areas of upstate NY. It’s a whole different kind of snow when that stuff starts falling hard.
Scenes that look like this are peak winter IMO. It’s an alien landscape. Everything is so clean and quiet.
Don’t ever move to a lake effect snow area… I miss those nights when multiple feet fell on us in upstate NY and the world was completely transformed. Outside sounds like an anechoic chamber from all the fat snowflakes absorbing all the sound; the crunch underfoot being the only thing you hear. Shoveling out the driveway to go rip e-brakes in the snow covered parking lots. Winter without snow is a half assed experience.
Ice can fuck right off though.
For Amazon, I use camelcamelcamel to see price history. Personally I’ve not seen price increases just for holiday sales but I also don’t buy a lot of stuff on these sorts of days, I just set a price alert and wait for the email.
It is in the US.
The FTC’s Guides Against Deceptive Pricing generally require that a seller offer an item at a price for a reasonable, substantial period of time in good faith, and in the regular course of business, before advertising that price as the former or regular price (16 C.F.R. § 233.1). The FTC considers it deceptive to offer an item for sale at a higher price for a short period of time in order to support a claim that an item is discounted when the price is then lowered. This practice is prohibited.
Additionally, most states have consumer protection statutes that prohibit sellers from making false or misleading statements of fact concerning the reasons for, existence of, or amount of a price reduction (for example, Cal. Civ. Code § 1770(a)(13)). Several states also expressly regulate the length of time an item must be offered at a regular price and amount of time it is on sale (for more information, see Practice Notes, Promotional Pricing: Specific State Laws and “Up To” Discounting Law and Practice: Promotional Pricing: State-by-State Requirements).

Get a deep UV flashlight (280nm Nichia LED works very well) with a high pass filter on the end to eliminate any stray visible light it emits. Fire it up in your own home in the dark. Deep UV is great for making things fluoresce and the high pass filter increases the signal to noise ratio, so to speak. Even things that weakly fluoresce will stand out in a dark environment with this type of light.
You will be absolutely disgusted. There are drops of liquid and other flakes of random shit everywhere. There is no escape, it would be a Herculean effort to clean it all and keep it clean. I think the only place you wouldn’t see things would be one of those clean rooms at chip fabs.
Not saying that hotels aren’t nasty, but you’ve probably got a bunch of similar stains in your home or apartment right now. It’s not necessarily blood or body fluids either, UV lights show where nearly anything was spilled.
